A. Information Provided Directly By You

B. Data Generated Automatically (App & Website Use)

  • Precise Location Data:
    • Passengers: We track your device's precise location when the app is open to pinpoint your pickup and drop-off.
    • Drivers: We track precise location data when the app is running in the foreground or background (when you are "online") to match you with riders and calculate routes.
  • Transaction and Trip Data: Pickup/drop-off points, routes driven, trip date/time, distance covered, and fares charged.
  • Device & Technical Data: IP addresses, device models, operating systems, app crash reports, browser types, and unique device identifiers.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We process your data strictly to fulfill our contract with you, under legitimate business interests, or to satisfy legal mandates:

  • To Provide Services: Registering your account, matching Passengers with Drivers, calculating upfront pricing, and tracking live trips.
  • To Ensure Safety: Verifying driver identity documents, tracking routes in real-time, and running our in-app safety features.
  • To Provide Customer Support: Investigating and resolving ride complaints or technical bugs.
  • Marketing and Communications: Sending push notifications or SMS alerts regarding your rides, or promotional updates about new features (which you can opt out of at any time).

GOOGLE OAUTH API & USER DATA DISCLOSURES

Drapoff ("we", "our", or "us") provides authentication via Google Sign-In to offer a seamless, secure sign-in and account creation experience. This section outlines how we access, collect, process, store, and protect information received through Google APIs.

1. Information We Access and Collect

When you choose to register or log in to Drapoff using your Google Account, we request access to the following basic profile information:

  • Email Address (userinfo.email): To identify your account, enable secure login, prevent duplicate accounts, and send essential transactional updates regarding your orders or deliveries.
  • Basic Profile Information (userinfo.profile and openid): Including your display name and profile picture URL, used to personalize your user interface, display your profile within the platform, and authenticate your active session.

We do not request, access, or store sensitive Google account information such as your Google password, contacts, Google Drive files, or calendar data.

2. How We Use Google User Data

We strictly use the information collected via Google OAuth to:

  • Authenticate your identity and provide authorized access to your Drapoff dashboard.
  • Create and manage your Drapoff user profile.
  • Communicate critical service updates, transactional receipts, and customer support communications.

We do not use Google user data to serve third-party advertisements, build consumer profiling databases, or track your behavior across unrelated third-party websites.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade Google user data to any third parties. We will only share this data in the following strictly limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted cloud infrastructure and database hosting providers who assist in operating our platform, bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Legal Compliance: If required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • All data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and Google APIs is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
  • Data stored in our production databases is protected using encryption-at-rest and strict role-based access controls.
  • We do not store Google OAuth access tokens longer than necessary to authenticate your active session.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your basic Google profile details only for as long as your Drapoff account remains active. You can revoke Drapoff's access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account Permissions.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Drapoff's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

HOW AND WITH WHOM WE SHARE YOUR DATA

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • Passengers and Drivers (Shared Mutually):
    • Passengers see the Driver’s name, photo, vehicle make/model, license plate number, and real-time location.
    • Drivers see the Passenger’s pickup name and pickup/drop-off locations. Phone numbers are masked/anonymized during text or phone communication.
  • Service Providers: Payment processors, cloud hosting networks (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), and mapping/navigation providers (e.g., Google Maps API).
  • Legal & Law Enforcement Authorities: If we receive a legally binding request from law enforcement, regulatory bodies, or court orders to protect public safety or comply with United States federal and state laws.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.

DATA RETENTION

We store your personal data only as long as your account remains active or as required by law.

  • Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your active profile.
  • Financial & Transactional Records: Retained for 7 years following a transaction to comply with IRS and state financial reporting laws in the United States.
  • Deleted Accounts: If you request account deletion, we purge or anonymize your data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to preserve it due to an ongoing dispute, safety investigation, or an unresolved debt.
